Morning

The Park

Restaurant with huge windows right in front of Kensington Gardens which baths in morning sunlight, making it particularly enjoyable for a chill weekend breakfast. Go for a run or walk in the park and then hit some eggs benny with a big cup of tea.

Afternoon

St John's

A recurring go to. Not sure how to describe it but it feels like a cook's restaurant. It has an old money flair but totally unpretentious. The kitchen is open and the room buzzes with life as the staff efficiently go about serving simple classic British dishes centered around the restaurant's nose to tail philosophy. You can walk in and have a light lunch at the bar but we recommend booking if you want to eat in the dining room. They're famous for their home made madeleines but the stand out dessert is the sticky toffee pudding which is just the most decadent thing you'll eat.

Evening

Gymkhana

If you go to London you should for sure get some Indian food at some point and this is the address if you're looking to get amazing food, atmosphere and service. Big leather sofas, dark lacquered wood. Everything is elite country club. The standout dish you shouldn't leave without trying are the tandoori lamb chops. Charred, spicy, this place just doesn't do half measures when it comes to flavor.

Night

Sketch

Sketch is famous for it's Alice in Wonderland acid trip of an interior. It's a multi floor institution with different "themes" and offerings depending on the room. The "Lecture Room & Library" famously won 3 Michelin stars and the langoustine 5 ways dish is great, however it can feel a bit overpriced. This is why we recommend going in for a drink either at The Parlour, The Glade or The Pod which all offer wildly different experiences but it's a real joy to just sit and soak up the insane interiors.

When in Rome

Regency Cafe

This place is in a nice part of town in west London but offers a no bullsh*t english breakfast. You better read the menu and make up your mind before you get to the counter because the staff, while generally friendly, does not have that much patience. Get your baked beans and sausage, sit down at one of the old Formica laminated tables and get on with it. Thankfully once you're sitting you can take your time. The place gets packed though so if you're alone you could vey well have to sit with a stranger, so bring a friend or make a friend.
